Many experts agree that improvements in the standard of Health and Safety practices can be achieved through education and training at all levels. This qualification enables owners, managers, supervisors and senior safety personnel to manage health and safety in most workplaces The new qualification is in response to the requirements of the Sector Skills Council (SSC) and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). It replaces the CIEH Advanced Certificate in Health and Safety.

Key personnel in organisations need the skills and knowledge to manage Health & Safety. This qualification is designed for those working in any business, regardless of their product or service range. It is essential for all those who have a role that includes responsibility for the Management of Health and Safety issues, including Managers, Supervisors and Senior Safety personnel.

Designed for: Owners, Managers, Supervisors and Senior Safety Personnel

Course duration: Five day programme - Guided learning hours 36

Assessment method: Two assignments and an examination

QCA Accredited: Yes sector-specific – QCA & Sector Skills Council (SSC)

Recommended prerequisites for candidates: Prior knowledge or experience, - CIEH Level 3 Award in Health and Safety or equivalent is recommended.
