Supervisors have both a legal and moral responsibility to look after the health and safety of employees. This qualification will enable managers and supervisors to improve the health and safety culture of their organisation, whatever its size or activity.

The new legislation encouraging tougher penalties for breaches of health and safety legislation came into effect on 16th January 2009, and it emphasises power of imprisonment for a wider range of health and safety offences and this might result in Employees, Supervisors, Managers and Business owners facing imprisonment under the Corporate Manslaughter and Corporate Homicide Act 2007.

The legislation also imposes STRICTER & TOUGHER financial penalties for most health and safety breaches as evidenced by the recent case involving Chargot Ltd.

Intermediate Certificate in Supervising Health and Safety Course helps to ensure that Employees, Supervisors, Managers and Business owners know their Legal duties and Responsibilities, as well as the Hierarchy of Control Measures to put in place as recommended by HSE ACOP.
